Pricing, coding, credentialing, data protection and what happens to your revenue. If yours is not here, call us and ask it directly.
EMBC employs a comprehensive payment validation tool. Our technology loads all contracted rates for each carrier and compares payments and adjustments at a CPT level in real time. Underpayments are identified and a specialist is notified to contact each carrier and collect on all underpayments.
EMBC provides complete procedure and diagnosis coding on behalf of clients based on individual needs. 100% coding audits are implemented for all new clients until both parties are comfortable with coding and documentation. Regular audits are then maintained for education, revenue enhancement and compliance purposes.
Yes. Provider credentialing and payer enrollment are included when EMBC runs your billing end to end under the percentage-of-collections model. Credentialing on its own, without billing, is quoted separately: bundled or multiple applications are priced monthly, and a single application is a one-off fee. Ask us for a figure for your situation.
EMBC fees are based on a percentage of revenue collected. The rate varies with the size and scope of the practice and the ability to receive information electronically.
There are typically no start-up costs charged by EMBC.
EMBC has a large, dedicated programming staff with experience interfacing with many information systems. Contact us for a complete list of the systems we have worked with.
Whether billing is insourced or outsourced, auditing your current process is the best way to determine whether improvements can be made. EMBC routinely provides audits and benchmarking for practices based on years of experience billing for physician services and on historical data.
EMBC assigns a dedicated toll-free customer service line for patients. Our technology platform and training programs allow representatives to resolve patient questions efficiently.
Full backups run nightly and are moved offsite every morning. Any backup held onsite is stored in a fireproof vault until it is moved. We also retain a backup that can run at full operation within 24 hours.
There are several options. It can depend on whether the client holds a lock box or prefers checks mailed to our office. EMBC can deposit into bank accounts at institutions we have access to, or a client may open an account on their own behalf and give EMBC view-only access, with funds swept to their local accounts on a schedule agreed during set-up.
Outsourcing billing is not right for every practice. Where your claim volume and in-house costs work out better, we will say so. And if the real problem is a pile of aged A/R or a credentialing backlog rather than your billing process, that is a scoped project, not a long-term contract.
